PSA’s Graeme Campbell speaks at JCCIPI's Personal Security Seminar

26 September, 2017

PSA’s Graeme Campbell was a speaker at JCCIPI's Personal Security Seminar on the Emerging Risks in the Philippines.

The Personal Security Seminar was held by the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Philippines (JCCIPI) on September 26, 2017 in Manila on The Emerging Risks in the Philippines.

Attended by around 90 people, topics included the war on drugs and associated killings, radicalization in Mindanao, the New People’s Army (NPA) becoming increasingly active, and the heightened risk of living in the Philippines.

There was also a workshop and attendees discussed potential cyber fraud scenarios involving bank accounts, and what to do when you encounter the sound of gunshots in a shopping mall.

As a speaker at the seminar, Graeme Campbell of PSA provided suggestions on how to prepare for these possible incidents.

Mr. Fujii of JCCIPI said practical risk management must be discussed by experts who are deeply familiar with the local context, emphasizing the importance of such seminars.
